Worthy of note is the change from an all-concrete quarter-mile to a more typical surface - concrete past half track, then asphalt the rest of the way.

Didn't they say the fuel cars were picking the top layers of concrete off down track, maybe that is why the other tracks do not have the issue?
Did Dallas (it is all concrete correct?) use a different concrete mix since they do not seem to have the problem?
