So as much as I was trying to avoid it, yet once again I had to get violated and place an order with Goodson. As if their prices were not already high enough, I got charged $17 shipping for a 4 lb box, and now they are also charging sales tax for out of state sales.
I've felt for over a decade now they are really starting to take advantage of the niche market... Wow they are really getting expensive now... Ive done some cursory internet searches and havent really found a good alternative... I did find that Sunnen sells Serdi style seat cutter inserts for $24 each, vs $39 each at Goodson. So at least I have an alternative for them now.. You can order them direct right from Sunnen, no need to go through a distributor. What is everyone else using for their automotive machine shop and tooling supplies??? |

Goodson was always high priced. I bought lots of stuff from them for my home shop in the past. No one I know of is any better and like you said it is a niche market......
Most people think the machines are expensive and they are but the tooling and the stones and cutters are very expensive as well.....

There is also Regis, they have a pretty decent array, plus you might check Silver Seal, not as much, but I don't know what you might be looking for.
