1993 Chevy Caprice Station Wagon NHRA weight break info
Does anyone know the weight break and horsepower ratings for the 93 Chevy Caprice station wagon ? When I download the 1993 file from NHRA I don't see the Caprice Station Wagon listed

94-96 are LT1 engines. I don't believe 91-93 is a listed combination. 91-93's would be TBI engines. All 91-96 Caprice wagons are the the same in appearance with the frames being different for the LT1 wagons.

I wanted to run an LT1 in my 93. I would have to claim it as a 94 then I suppose

Runs G, H/PS, M,N possibly O in Stock. Corbitt Marshburn sold one recently. Wagons are getting harder to find as a non woodie. I have a 94 customized being set up for towing. Check out impalassforum.com for more info. D |

I am not sure of how you do the passenger side motor mount with an LT1 in a 91-93. I know that the information can be found on longroof.com or impalassforum.com The 94-96 frames are different on the passenger side to accommodate the block mount being (what looks to me) upside down as compared to traditional small Chevrolet. I have a 94 and would have loved to bought Corbitt Marshburn's wagon, but just couldn't part with the money. I have wondered where it ended up, so I can look to see how the new owner is doing with it. Hope you build the wagon.

Aren't the blocks the same where the motor mounts bolt to , LT1 vs TBI , So if you had the V8 frame mounts and the matching engine mounts, what would be the problem ?

Re: 1993 Chevy Caprice Station Wagon NHRA weight break info
I think the LT1 passenger side mount is different. I am not 100% sure, but I think that the placement is different on the block. The frames on 94-96 are different. I believe that there is a company that makes the mounts to have either engine in either car. Also mounts for LS applications. That could make for interesting GT combo, provided you could make weight. Dan Fahey probably knows for sure on the mounts.

I remember that the passenger side was moved further back to accommodate the A/C compressor.
