In the 2000 - 2002 season I raced an IHRA Crate Motor stocker. The initial build up was with a 200 trans. In the fall of 2000 the 3 speed broke and I swapped in a powerglide to make an up-coming race.
The car was sooo much easier to stage [smoother, less harsh] and became dead-on consistent. With the powerglide I won more and was more relaxed when driving. Never reinstalled the 200 trans.
