Default Re: Chassis Tuning Help

68…How long are your ladder bars? We were there a couple weekends ago with a Blue 1966 Chevy II SS/GA car. We had some trouble getting out to about the 100' mark Friday night and early Saturday morning at the track opener. I had to get after the track crew, that were soaking the burnout area with too much water. I started taking care of that area for the remainder of the weekend for all our passes, and we got things under control. I watched several cars on the starting line and noticed lots of wheel spin. My theory on it was, by the time the car was staged the excess water that was up in the tub was dripping onto the tops of the tires and keeping us from moving out of the gate without spinning. I explained it to the young fellow looking after the left lane and he understood what I meant. He started using less water and sweeping it more tightening up the wet area and for some reason the left lane became faster? MB.
