Default 68 Plymouth Valiant

Was walking around a junk yard and they had a primo 68 Valiant with a 170 slant six. Has anyone actually ran this combo?

If anybody has run that combo it would probably be either Phillip Marvstz
Washington State or Paul Wong in Vegas.

If you make it a 67 by filling side markers and some trim changes. The 68 273 is not a good combo. The 318 is plenty defactored if you want to use it as a 68. You will be punishing yourself with an early slant 6.

Thank you paul, I got the beast for $200 complete. Now I have to figure out to keep it as a street car with great gas mileage or turn it into a stocker

I never tried the 170. The 225 1 barrel would run under the index but they are extremely weather sensitive and Mike Jeffery pretty much killed the 2 barrel combo. V8 probably wouldn't cost any more to build.
