Default Re: Hemi racers Have a question

Just read an article about crankcase oil management. The writer told a story about a Mopar clinic he went to in the 70's which was hosted by Tom Hoover, Dave Koffel, and Dick Maxwell. The writer said that's all Hoover, Koffel, and Maxwell talked about was windage. The writer said to use the deepest oil pan with a kick out you can fit in the car, along with using a crank scraper and the new Milodon Diamond Stripper windage tray. The article stressed that a lot of power is to be had reducing the oil hitting the crank. He also said you want to try to have the engine oil dump back into the pan in the front or the back of the engine not dumping in the center where it will fall directly onto the path of the crank.
