And those long, small intake tubes. Like really long header primaries. Those TPI engines don't run up high. Take some gear out of the TPI car and it will likely run quicker too. On my chassis dyno, I never saw one that wasn't done by about 5500 RPM.

Pete , were are your shift rpms (5500 ?) , think about what Ed stated , get some primary addons to make those tubes longer . .If you already have tethers made you can always sale them .

shift points on carb motor higher
488 gear in tpi set up, 513 in carb motor 5000/5200 converter in tpi motor, 5500 in carb set up, based on my 2 old camaros, they seemed to run prety well |
