Default Re: Door handle/arm rest on stocker with cage

It turns out I can't remove my door handle after all. Not because of rules but because it is all one piece. It looks separate but when I pulled the panel off it is one piece.
Is it legal to run the side bar right along the top of the handle and then bend it down to the floor just ahead of the handle? It will still be at the right height where it meets the main hoop. Also how close to the floor does the door bar have to be attached to the vertical tube going through the dash?

Thanks,
Bob

My understanding has always been that it doesn't matter much where the side bar is mounted (within reason) as long as it crosses between the shoulder and the elbow.
Of course, you would keep the front low enough so you can get in and out.
I always custom bend my side bars so I can open and close the door and not smash my elbow against it when turning the wheel.
This is one of the reasons I don't use roll bar kits.
