Why are you asking? You can not make your own, they have to be made by someone the NHRA approved

I was thinking about this the other day.How do they know if they are made by someone with the NHRA approval? Is there a sticker or something that comes with an "approved" tether that distinquishes it from a "non-approved" tether?

If you think NHRA approved teathers are expensive you don't want to know the fine and penalty for trying to sneak thru tech with tethers that aren't approved.
All approved tethers are labeled NHRA APPROVED.

If your looking for low cost header tethers theres nhra approved kits on racing junk for as low as 60 bucks. If you wanna pay 150 for the collector tether brand for the contingency pay that's up to you. There are other less expensive kits out there. Me personally I have 2 car to buy for so I'm not gonna pay 300 for 2 kits
