new to the board, new class build

Hello, New member here, great forum....lots of good info here..

I do have a few newb question, some would consider secrets, others would consider standard fair in class racing.

The combo I have to work with is a fox mustang 400hp 3200# ford 8.8 (moser lightweight spool, gundrilled 35 spline) standard 4.56 gear, tko500 trans (pro shift no 5th) aerospace brakes all the way around....

What chassis related things are commonly overlooked by a weekend warrior like myself that is common fare for class racing?

Are the myths true?
Vaseline for wheel bearing grease?
ATF for gear oil?
Ceramic bearings?

Im going to lighten the ring gear, and thought about things like countersunk tapered headed ring gear bolts,

What are some other things to look for?
