I would look at your fuel supply. I would say you are lean in good air. Just a guess.

I had a carb that performed like this. What fuel pump do you use? Change carbs if that doesn't help then upgrade fuel pump and/or regulator.

I use a BG 400 that came with the car when I bought it other than that I know nothing about the pump and use a holley big port regulator.
