Thanks for sharing your adventure with us! I haven't been racing for 3 years now and your posts are good for the soul. I noticed you drove up highway 93 from Phoenix Az. Hope you enjoyed Wikieup AZ...my old stompin grounds.

Here are a few pictures from our travels back toward Kentucky. We left on Sunday morning and drove about 570 miles to just outside Albuqueque, NM last night. We stayed at the Route 66 Casino. For those of you heading back after Pomona, they have lots of parking and easy in and out. There is also a truck stop there with diesel as cheap as we have seen anywhere.

 Coming into Texas!  The black and white cows we remembered from our last trip! We have stopped for the night at a Walmart in Weatherford, OK. We have dropped in elevation 4000' since we left this morning! The weather has been great so far. They were calling for snow in parts of New Mexico tomorrow, so I am glad we missed it. It looks like we might run into some rain tomorrow in OK and ARK. More later. |
