As you can tell by Larry's post, we got beat this morning. He had a .012 red light. Seemed like about half the runs were determined by a red light! So I guess we now get ready to concentrate on the points race next week! More later. Going up to watch super stock!

We have just been relaxing and enjoying ourselves since we got beat. Even got up early this morning and watched rounds 4 and 5 of stock and superstock. It's down to 4 stockers and 3 super stockers now. Interesting round 4 in superstock when Biondo broke something and almost crossed the center line after his opponent red-lighted. Sitting in the stands it looked like he was really close to the line. The officials all came out and looked at the track, so I guess they were assured that he did not cross the center line. They had told all classes to come back to staging immediately after they won. After super comp finished up their round 5, there was about a 10-15 minute delay before super stock started their round 5. I would like to hope that NHRA would have done that for any of us and not just a special few. Whoever won that round had a bye into the finals. Peter lost that round, but still had a .012 light after all the thrashing to get the car fixed.

Karen, the weather has been fabulous all week long. It is supposed to cool down the next couple of days with lows in the 40s and highs in 60-70s. We are planning on being here all week for the divisional this weekend and then on to Pomona next week. So once we get home we will be in for the winter. Hopefully we will see you in Feb. for the Gainesville points race.

I had a good time Sunday morning watching the sportsman racing next to my old time nemesis Lance Line. The Burtons, Scheitlin, Brand, and others were up the stands enjoying the Sunday runs. Fletcher was watching at the fence. It was a chamber of commerce day for racing.
After the last pair went down and the event was in the books it got windy. Today its howling gusting to 40+ Now for a couple of days off to enjoy the distractions of Vegas |
