I know of many that have made more power with the composite intake over any other offerings in the market, both on the dyno and at the track.
They have also found the intake runs way cooler.

Unless it's just a poor runner / plenum design, I find it hard to believe it doesn't make more power just because of the cooler intake and vibration control (which I'm assuming it has).

Anybody know how the AFR intake compares to, say a, Victor, Victor Jr. or Bow-Tie intake? Isn't it odd I'm asking about Chevies?

Do a search in SpeedTalk. A few people tested the intake and did comparison tests.

I also tried the plastic intakes....both styles. Dyno'd the heck out of it! Spent the money to fill and profile the ports to match the heads. What did we find.......well not much, it was within 4hp lower of course. Tom Nolan.
