Casey, you made some great points, but too late to turn back...what's done is done!

Sadly, Stock Eliminator was once considered an "entry-level" thing...a place to
learn "fine-tuning" with a production/showroom vehicle with mostly STOCK parts and
keep it affordable...

A stepping-stone to bigger things down the road...(higher classes).

Not anymore!

Ya know, it's a mind set kinda thing. If you tell people that they need a $125K car to compete then why should they try? Instead of telling people what they can't do, why not show them what they CAN do.

Excellent post Billy. I like the way you think. I think you found the main reason we are lacking in young people. They seem to think you need 100k plus cars and 30k engines.

Frank, good to have you on here...and THANK YOU for your service for our
country!

I saw you run at Indy in 1974 with the '55...

Think that York photo here...is '74 or '75...not a big deal...but here's what I
remember...

In '74 and '75...BOTH autos and sticks...ran TOGETHER...in SS/T and SS/U...
Starting in '76..and MAYBE running for a year or 2...they split 'em up...so there
was a SS/TA and SS/UA class for auto cars...and a SS/T and U...for sticks...
Around '78...they adjusted the weight breaks...so SS/T became SS/O...and "U"
became "P"...and so on for autos...

Willing to take a shot and say...it's York 1975...because that Class sticker on
windshield might be from Indy....think York ran a National Open...in June?

Maybe Frank remembers if he won class at Indy? I don't...

BTW...Jack Mullins was there (at Indy)...running SS/R?...with a '63 2-dr....the
"famous" wagon didn't arrive until a year or two later....

Yeah, I know..."useless" information....don't blame me!...it's those darn
investigative shows running on TV now....LOL!!!!!!

X a bunch more.

Without the WILL to do it, the money and whining shall not change your outcome.

I like this guy! I would say even though he probably did not build this car, He does put forth a commendable effort toward his entry! Thumbs up to you Sir!
