Does anyone have pictures of Joe Ralph Thompson's '71 Demon Pro Stock car? It ran in 71 and at least part of 72. If my info is correct, Gene Graham drove it.

I got this photo from somewhere, not sure who "owns" it. It may have been on another thread here somewhere?

No problem.

If you were to scroll through a few pages of this topic, you will find I'm a pretty strong fan of the old JRT days.

Knew of this car but it came about while I was overseas. Never saw it until posted here.

Darts are where you find 'em.

Who's is in the background here? Fenton wheels may help ID it for someone.

The Dart is the Bill Tanner Lenox Dodge car. Behind it is the SS/DA challenger also owned by Bill. And of course, Woodro Josey in front.

This is what I know of the car so far.Lou Vignona said he purchased it from some guy in Mt.Kisco(Cisco??) N.Y in the early 80's.It was in an underground parking lot of some apartment complex. The guy told Lou that it was Charlie Castaldo's Auto. car. I have since found out that it is not Castaldo's car thru talking to one of Charlie's crew members at the time by the name of Charlie Licata. When Lou purhased the car,he had it painted white. This is how Tim Henessey purchased it in 1985.
I have heard some storys about an original Hemi Dart in the N.Y. area that was known as the "two scoop Lido" car.I understand that this Lido guy installed some aftermarket scoop on top of the original scoop. Thus the name.I have spoke with Tim Henessey about this & he did say the original scoop was really messed up so he had to replace it when he restored the car.
If anyone can help me out on this,I sure would appreciate it as I have been searching for info. now for over 3 years, maybe 4.Any little detail may help no matter how small it may be.
Thankyou; Daryl

Ok...almost a half million hits later we're still looking for the "Lost Episodes" of Liteweight's LO23.

WAKE UP !!!!!

Time to get the dectectives back on the hunt.

There has to be some Charlie Castaldo connection. First you have the guy Lou bought the car from telling him that, and then in this thread Jimi Vignona relating to us seeing the Charlie Castaldo name on the doors (beneath the paint) when the car was in his dad's garage. That can not be dismissed. There has got to be some connection...maybe just the doors are from one of Castaldo's Darts? Maybe Charlie had a third Dart? I dunno.

As far as "two scoop Lido" is concerned, from the best of my knowledge in order to be a participant at a Bracket Finals race you had to finish in the Top 10 at your track. If that is true, then the "two scoop Lido" Dart had to be a regular competitor at some track in order to gain enough points to finish in the Top 10 to represent his track at the Bracket Finals and not just show up for that one (big) race (and receive a participant decal) because he felt like racing there that day.
