Used cam or not with a new lifter using a good BR fluid for a few passes will not hurt one bit and will make make you feel a little more at ease as well. Gibbs makes two different BR oils and works fine IMO.

As Todd Hoven asked, will i need to run 130-ish on the seat? And what roughly , do these run, cost wise? They may be the way to go...do they lash, like a Schubeck? or do you preload them, a little?

Brent, I would suggest a phone call to them and talk with them about the do and don't with their lifters he will talk with you and then you can decide what your comfort level would be with adjustment, spring psi , etc.
