We are on our way! It is supposed to be about 95 at the house this afternoon, so I hope it is not going to be that bad in Bristol! The weather is showing some storms today and tomorrow, but Friday and Saturday look great and then a little more chance of rain on Sunday. With any luck, hopefully we will still be there then. Right now it is warm and sunny! We will be posting more on the way!

Save travels Patsy & Larry!!! I am headed to Lebanon Valley for the D1 race later this afternoon. Gotta love the fact its 85 miles from the farm traveling all back roads!
Currently 56 degrees here and wet! Just planted my vegetable garden...hope we don't get a late frost! |

When you hit that deer, you enjoyed Leroy Troy’s tribute to road kill with “Five Pounds of Possum”.
When you get to Bristol, and there’s not much room to maneuver your tow rig, perhaps Leroy’s “Give Me 40 Acres and I’ll Turn This Rig Around” will be an inspiration: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgYBFVdOQVc"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgYBFVdOQVc[/ame] Who couldn’t love the great Leroy Troy? |

I love it!!!
We are here! For all of you who are coming in and stacking--You need to go 11E in front of the main Bristol entrance and come in and stack at the North Entrance. As we came in on 394, we followed the arrows for participants that took us to the entrance at the Dragstrip, then a nice policeman told us we need to turn around (since nobody is parked in that area much, there was enough room). Tomorrow it may not be as easy! There is a sign about stacking at that entrance, but not until you get to it. We are # 23 in line, so hopefully we get a good spot! |

Well we got the grand tour of the racetrack here this evening by Mike Welfel and his grandson. So hopefully we will get a nice spot in the morning. We have been sitting outside enjoying the company of Jim and Pam Marshall, Vic Guilimino, Ben Wenzel and Duck. I just came back in the motorhome because it is hot and humid even tonight. Looks like we may get a little rain tomorrow. I took a couple of pics I will post a little later. Wish Scott was here enjoying all this with us. You just never know. I am just so glad we have had an opportunity to meet so many wonderful people along the way!

Bypass that 5 pounds of possum and stop at (I think Partner's) BBQ on the road side near The racetrack. There is another BBQ place (I cant remember the name or location) that is hard to find and out of the way but very good. Ask some people in the know and they can put you on it. Im not getting to go due to work. Get plenty of ice cuz it is going to be HOT there. Hope every one has a great time. Don Jackson

Well it is overcast and muggy this morning. Rain is supposed to show up about 11. About when we will probably be getting parked. They are not supposed to start parking til 10. A few more rigs came in overnight, but it doesn't look like more than 40 or so total.
I will post a little more after I get out and about. |

We are in and parked down in the lower area. If it floods us out, I would like it known that I wanted to park up on high ground. There is electricity down here, but we don't have a long enough cord to plug in. They started parking early because of the chance of rain.
