It was '96 to be exact that I first used radials. I remember the exact year because I got a set so that I could get into the US Nationals that year. It worked and with a little luck that weekend, I made it to the final round. They had been around at least a year or two at the time.

and your olds ran what 60 foot/ET 17 years ago?
Back to the facts and the truth, I've done the back to back to back and never ran close to a tenth quicker with BBC power under the hood and made over 3000 passes on Hoosier Radial slicks to date and counting. Been 1.28 60 foot at 3880 lbs. on the small tire and 1.17 60 foot at 3144 lbs. on the big tire both launching off the footbrake and with ATI converters too! ![]() Both legal class cars except the engines under the stock hoods! Probably about 1.5-1.6's. I was running 11.30-40's @ 115 MPH at the time. I didn't know you were a fan. I could send you an autographed photo if you like.
