When do they start eliminations at the divisionals? On Friday or Saturday? If I can't get to a race untill Saturday morning would I still be able to run?

Re: ?? About Divisional Races
Divisional races start eliminations on Sunday. Usually 2 or 3 qualifying passes fri. 2 on sat the start elims first thing sunday morning. In D4 stock is usally first out of the gate at 8:30 or 9am. Sometimes if Sun. looks bad weather wise 1 qual. pass then first round later that eve on sat.
hope that helps

Re: ?? About Divisional Races
IHRA Pro-Am events typically give two qualifying runs on Saturday, a Combo or bracket race Saturday night, and then eliminations on Sunday. Alternatively, at a double-header weekend, you'd get two qualifying runs on Saturday and run eliminations to completion Saturday night, then one qualifying run on Sunday and run eliminations of a second race to completion. Pro-Am tracks are always open Friday night for those wishing to come in early for additional runs.
I never understood having to be at a track for three days to run a Divisional race. The last time I ran an NHRA Divisional at Numidia, I made two qualifying runs on Friday, raced at Beaver Springs Friday night, made two qualifying runs on Saturday at Numidia, changed converters and raced at Beaver Springs Saturday night, got busted 1st round at Numidia on Sunday, and raced at Beaver Springs later that day! IHRA provides a good bang for the buck, in my opinion.

So if I show up Saturday I can still run? Because I might no be able to get to the points meets on Friday. Can't allways get off of work. But will make it to a few of them on Friday. But if I can show up Saturday and still be able to run that will work. |
