Ran one on our SS\CS motor for years. No problems. Just to be safe, had it rebuilt, and installed on a deuce.

Ninja Fuel Systems in GA sells the seal kits on line thru e bay. Just bought 2 and rebuilt one pump. By looking at it seemed like a well built pump. You have to knock out the sleeve that the rotor runs on to access the shaft seal. 13$ for the seal kit.

I had a brand new one from the mid 90's . Lost pressure, replaced it with a new one. It wore the bottom plate in 3 months, the next one leaked, and the next one replaced under warrantee wore another plate out and sent metal through my whole fuel system and carb. I wouldn't run one of those pumps on a porta John service truck. If you have to run that type of fuel system buy a Holley or Summit race black pump.
Aermotive or Magna fuel is the only way to go, but they are not in everybody's budget. |

Ive heard some of those bad things about them... I have one , that looks good... but havent tore into it... My brother gave it to me...he bought it in 2005, at a swap meet. We hadnt heard anything about them, at the time... Wasnt sure if it was worth having checked out... figured i'd get the system plumbed for the bigger pump and return line, from the regulator. May run it a few times, first...hehe

I've owned two that I bought for two different race cars. Both leaked right off the bat. Personally, I think BG makes crap parts, carbs, pumps. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it!
