So, first Joe Ralph Thompson:

Then Joe Tueton.

Does that make this one the "JT" Dart?

I finally found the January 2004 Mopar Collector's Guide that featured a story about a street racer who totalled out one of Max Hurley's original Hurst Hemi Darts.

This Dart had an automatic transmission in it at the time of the street wreck but the article does not state whether it was originally built as an automatic car or not.

Per Draglist: Max Hurley 68 Hemi Dart was a 4 speed. On the original LO23 owners list posted in this topic (page 137) it states #22 Max Hurley - 4 speed SS/B.

Thanx for that Scott
I have that issue "somewhere". Bet there were alot of parts that went with the car when it was scrapped that are considered gold today, such as radio, heater delete plates, mirror delete, etc.etc......
No doubt in my mind that roll bar saved his hiney. That's one f'd up LO.
Did Max Hurley purchase this one new?

liteweight

ps Welcome back Mark
pss That last question is for you.
