Fan Control Switch....

Looking for a temp probe with switch to trigger an electric fan.
I don't need a kit, wiring ,relays, rocker switch or anything else...just the adjustable control (100 -200 F, range)
Anybody got a Grainger catalog they could look at for me ?

That's not too bad a deal then ...I looked one time and saw some $100 deal... don't need that.
I wonder where you're supposed to stick the probe .... No wisecracks ...No, not gonna put it there!!

Mark,

The switch that jegs shows can be had at Johnstone or an appliance repair parts center. The kicker would be the Jegs $12 shipping and handling,

I just installed the Jegs thermo switch and it worked great. The probe just slipped in the fins at the top of radiator. You can adjust it to the temp you want it to turn on at. Phil

Mark you could probably turn that fan on with an Autometer pro light sender in the intake....run the fan ground through it. I dont like those probes that sandwich in between the hose and the rad.....always a chance of something happening. Im not sure what temperatures they sell them in but im sure that will be the cheapest route without a wiring kit and a probe. I just ordered a painless (painfull

) fan thermostat relay kit for a customer and at almost 100 dollars it isnt that affordable but I needed a trouble free kit with no BS.

I'm not getting the part about the probe and hose .
Are you supposed to just zip it to the hose?

Seems to me, you could just slip it in the fins on the inlet side.
With that much range, it's all relative between the setting and ON point, I would think,..as long as it's consistent.

Theres two styles probes...one goes into the fins of the rad and one actually snakes into the rad itself and the hose goes over that and you tighten it up....say a prayer and shut the hood. Thats why temp switch that threads into the intake that switches to ground at a certain temp is the best deal.
