Woke up 45 minutes or so ago. Outside temp: 4. Wind chill: -16. Furnace: not working. Temp inside at 50. Fortunately all it needed was to push the re-set button, or things might have gotten ugly...

Don't worry about the cold. It was -3 degrees in Michigan and that was only 3 miles from Hell. (There really is a town by that name.) It's caused by global warming. Just ask Al Gore.

I know right, I got a stocker to finish and I am down here playing on the beach. Shame on me. Seriously I hope everyone takes proper precautions against the extreme cold and stays safe.

Thought this was too funny. I am working in Richmond Virginia, and last night there was no more than .25" to .5" of snow. All kinds of school closings, and delayed starts. In KC unless we get ice and then several inches of snow its school as usual. Last week we were supposed to get 5" of snow here and you would have thought the world was coming to an end. No more than 1.5" fell and schools cancelled and the following day it was 51 degrees. Other than where there was shade it was all gone.
