Mike,

Back in '89 0r '90 I was invited to a Nostalgia SS race in Gainesville by Jerry Kelly and was pitted by a guy named Don Snyder who was racing a 421 '62 Pontiac. He blew his engine on the first match race against me but stayed around for the weekend.

I wonder if this is the same guy?

Could be. He has a few Pontiacs in his collection (one of Beswick's Tameless Tigers). Mostly old Ford/Mopar stuff, Stile's '66 A/S car, all the T-bolts and Galaxie /lightweight Ford stuff are in one room, plus two others. Awesome collection. It is open to the public, but by appointment only. If anyone schedules one for there (I went in May when I took those pics), I will make a post on here about it, for those close enough to enjoy it (it's in New Springfield Ohio, not far from the PA/OH state line, not far from New Castle PA or Youngstown OH, not far from Quaker City Dragway in Salem OH).
