Heck , Jim, I have to look for a name on the new cars on the street anyway. Run them
through a wind tunnel to save fuel and they all end up shaped pretty much alike. I watch SS, Comp and Pro Stock. Have no interest in any of the track oilers, pro mod included. Can't believe they did away with Pro Stock trucks, and kept the bikes. I would have just as soon they moved them to cars. Don't personally care for trucks unless I need to haul something too big to fit in the trunk of a car. Small block Pro Stock cars ( like in Austrailia) would be neat IMHO. Just my thoughts. Please don't shoot me. I'm old.

Homogonized Jelly Beans. I like that. One thing this forum does not lack is imaginative descriptive words. Back on point, Erica looks better than Greg, probably smells better too, so what we fightin about. Yeah the cars look alike. We actually have a Jason Line pro stock that is about 5 years old, and now a T/S. Trick stuff. I think Lil Joe might sell it too as a roller. Any interest. We also got a 1200 hp motor from Jeggie from years back in P/S. Probably for sale. Was used to break in a comp car, which now has a Mopar P/S motor. It's fresh. I'm lost on the wrong forum, but I'm lost anyway.

Yes Jim, Comp is pretty cool with its diversity and competitiveness.

My favorite class is Pro Stock, followed by Comp, Super Stock, Stock, and Pro Mod.

Yeah, it is sad that Pro Stock has been allowed to follow the NASCAR lead. Now the cars represent absolutely nothing.

The body rules being contorted to the point where they're all "jelly beans" is nothing but a bunch of excuses.

Maybe if an OEM doesn't want to make a car that fits the rules and is competitive, they should just bail out.

To me it is just another sad example of what is wrong with racing and the automotive industry. It's a sign that there are very few "car guys" left anywhere in the automotive world.

If you find the ESPN coverage of her win in Chicago, while they were interviewing Dave Connelly at the starting line, Erica gets her trophy, screams and jumps up and down, and shouts something towards Greg Anderson (off screen). It's hard to hear what she says over the top of Connelly, but I think I hear the word "whinning". So, my guess is that is what Greg was upset about.

I like the super modified cars. They start with an actual body like a cobalt etc and build the car.

Talking Re: Erica & Greg?

I have always belived that super modified is the REAL pro stock because of the STOCK bodies...now with that said, lets bring back F/M w/ steal bodies 8.5 lbs per cubic inch, 4150 carbs, and 5 speeds, and a tire no bigger than 14.32. And if you get out run shut-up, go home, and find some more power................see you at the track
