Some racers are even able to accomplish this performance using an antiquated fluid coupling device. ; ) While iI have your -Attn. Mr. Wright - thanks for the help last year on my wifes Lt1 it was a ripped open fuel filter that clogged 5 of 8 injectors. ---Trevor

Glad you found it. If your talking "deep into the nines" with a Stock or Super Stock LT1 on 9" tires and a torque arm, I would sure like to meet them.

LT-1
Great car to drive and race But easily one of if not THE worst car to work on. From under the hood to trying to get up under the dash those cars rank as worse than anything else I've ever had. I don't miss owning one....

Ed I was thinking of the LS 1 A stockers when I made the deep 9 statement . I thought your car was still a torque arm ? Looks like 9" slicks in your avatar. I know you ran up some pretty good #s.
I built our 84 Trans Am to be stock legal but wev'e been running a couple of different old anemic carbed S/S smallblocks in GT/J to a best of high 10.s. I'm putting in our good stocker 305 and a new Liberty LSC5000 as we speak. ( I'm on lunch ) My wife drives a Zed /28 LT/ 1 T56 to work. I agree with Rich, It was easier to re+re + re the injectors than re the plugs. ---Trevor |

Try an LT-1 in a 94/96 Impala SS...
Runs K/LM/SA Can run deep 11's with right combo. Uses F-body cam specs. FYI..use the 96 Iron Head. Easy to work on ! hope this helps Dan |
