jerico input shaft sensor

looking to install the input shaft sensor on a jerico trans,but the issue is i do not have any room to install the sensor between the throw out bearing and the bearing retainer ,,has anyone had this issue??? i also have the shortest throw bearing i could find gmonde

Most systems don't install an input shaft sensor. They use engine RPM, and a drive shaft speed sensor. Then, using the gear ratio in the transmission for each gear, they can calculate clutch slippage. It eliminates the problems you're dealing with. You really don't want a sensor and the attending wiring in there, for several reasons.

Don't know where I saw this and it might have been here but someone used the fill plug hole for the pickup mount and the collar is on what looks like the countershaft inside. I saved the pictures but they are very small and of course I didn't save any details. Hopefully somebody else did.

can you email me the pictures,, i was thinking that i could pick up from inside the case but it would have to be 1-1 to get the correct count gmonde

Search here in the tech section and you will find it i believe, you don't need the 1:1 if your data system can apply a ratio to the graph, which some can I am told. just apply the head set ratio and put the sensor on the counter shaft. The problem is that the bellhousings in stock are not as deep as let say pro stock and they can get the sensor in there easily. Last I knew they used sensors on the input in pro stock,

not get long winded but the amc blowsheild bellhousings used to be real deep almost 8" ,since then they changed the depth to the chevy style and the flywheel for the amc is not as narrow as a chevy so it makes for no clearance inside as it was i had to fight for throw out bearing clearance ,, i will search it here thanks gmonde
