Default Re: Brake pressure switch

i have found a very good quality pressure switch through my hydraulic company. it is adjustable and has both n/o and n/c polls, and is setup with a hershman type connector. It has a 1/4 npt nipple. not for the faint hearted if you think its gonna be cheap tho! it runs right around $60 each. i plan on using mine for nothing other than connecting a ground to a red warning light that tells me i have my pedal down to the same location each time in my foot brake stocker. i run a button on my pedal for the two step. i have bursted a brake line at the starting line once and was able to win the round cause the car didnt launch till i wanted it to (the other guy went red behind me!). with a pressure switch in the system opperating the two step the car would have taken off as soon as the pressure dropped.

just my two sense!

Ian, that's how I have mine installed. When the rule changed, I removed my button from the console and installed it in the pedal.
No special switch, no concern over installing in front or rear hydraulics, no concern over front to rear bias, and no pressure guage.
Just step on the brake and simultaneously activate the switch.
