The production numbers I have on the 426-S cars do not give a breakdown for Wagons, but there were a pretty good amount of 4-door Dodges and Plymouth built with the engine.
I have a '65 Coronet 440 that was an original 426-S/automatic car. It was sold new at Bob Banning Dodge too. |

I don't know what motor this '65 Coronet started out life with...but it's been a race car most of it's life.

1969 NHRA Weight factor,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,9.50 - 9.99 Wt/Hp The1965 426-S cars also ran in in E/S or E/SA in 1969. |

Hey Paul, it seems that more racers chose the '65 Dodge Coronet over the '65 Plymouth Satellite judging by the amount of old photos that I'm finding of both models.

I met Steve Reasbeck at Beaver Springs two years ago. He's a real good guy running some old Hemi stuff, NASCAR rods, TRW slugs, etc.
