I LOVE where you have the quotation marks here ...LOL I was a huge fan of those guys and was pissed when it happened - then I felt like an idiot when the truth "came out"....

Then I felt worse for Jerry Eckman who got nailed red-handed.....

Been a fan of WJ for as long as i can remember, ( 40 years ? ). Didnt see it in person, but when he wrecked the pro stocker, he immediately got out of the totaled out car and covered the intake manifold with his racing jacket so no one could see it. CLASSIC move..... LOL

Troy,, are you sure you're not possibly thinking about Bob Glidden's famous crash of his Thunderbird racing against Butch Leal, where he rolled the T-Bird multiple times after hitting the left lane wall? The extended TV footage shows Bob's jacket covering his intake before the cameras got too close, as he still was wearing it when the Safety Safari helped him get up as he climbed out of the car. I believe this was at Atlanta around '85 or '86. Its probably on Youtube. I don't recall WJ doing this, although I've been wrong before.
