My boys put new Dana 60 into Older Kids Car to get him ready for head for Winters
It has a new Richmond Std R/P (Not Pro). It has a 10 spline coarse spline pinion.not the fine spline. They call and said the old yolk would not fit, I told them to carefully check for burrs on yolk and pinion--- you Dummies.....they looked over both closely and said they were perfect. I had them try three more three different yolk.... Both Aftermarket and stock They said "Dad the splines are about .005 - .007too Wide close as we could tell!! I had them Freeze the yolks overnight and check the pinion for burrs again. Still no Go!!! Did we get an out of tolerance pinion?......NEVER seen this happen before but I am starting to think so! Does anyone have any Idea or experience with this? I was thinking of Overnighting an Aluminum one/Freezing it/Pounding it on!! I sure HATE that Idea!!!!
