Hey PC, doesn't Jimi on here own the 'Behemoth' 62 Dodge wagon, maybe he can offer up some additional info on the car...also here's Hank's Speed Shop 62 Plymouth called 'Heartbreaker'.

1962 Dodge Polara 500,,, 383/343 HP
C/SA

Set the C/SA,,, MPH National Record @ 110.97 (8/66)

As of February 1968, this car still held the MPH Record for the class, which was now D/SA (9.50 - 9.99 Wt/Hp).

Car purchased by Joe Kenney (Hopewell Junction, New York) in 1967.

Well it's not one of the 62 383/343 hp units but Bill Tanner raced this 62 413 Dodge called 'Ramcharger' and Phil Carrol's 62 Dodge called 'White Lightning'.

They started using the 1962 Chysler 300 H 3258 and 3259 AFB carbs right away. Having all 3 sets of legal carbs in my possession. I can see why they made the change.

As my car is all but finished. I will post a pick of a "modern" 383 343hp engine compartment.

Hi Paul, what differences are there in the other carbs. I have a set of the 3258 and 3259 carbs as well as a set of a 58 350 carbs. I've never used the 58 carbs but they appear to be very similar.
