Looking to put a BBC into a 66 chevelle that originally had a 283 sbc.Which set of frame mounts will work ?I am trying to keep the motor as low as I can in the chassis for hood clearance. Thanks for any input

run a chevelle BBC oil pan and drop it in, you don't have to change anything else

if it's like camaros (i don't know for sure on the chevelles), using the small block frame mounts put's the engine further back.
i never worried about it on mine as they were bracket cars (1 was a 64 wagon and THAT'S when i found out about the chevelle pans... big car and pickup don't fit

Big Block frame mounts have a reinforcement rib around the front edge. Visually a little different but the small block ones will work.

i run the small block mounts, plus most performance header manufacturers design their headers around the small block mount/ big block combo. Lemons, hooker etc.
