The car weighs 3245 and gear set is 7 or 8 years old and was due to be changed just wanting to know if synthetics are the way to go or not thanks

The oil probably doesn't have anything to do with broken teeth. Proper set up is important. You could try having the ring and pinion Cryogenicly treated. It will help extend the life of the gears. Jim Bailey does this. www.finishedracing.com
