I thought you said OLDEST for a moment there. LOL. Anyway it was a 1953 Ford 4 door with a Flat head V8 and UGH a 2 speed automatic. Ran in 1963/64. 20.22 seconds in N/S. Almost gave me whip lash. Hey....cant afford much when in High School working part time at Sear's and mom and Dad wouldnt buy me a 409 Chev.

Way back when, E/mp was for 6cyl's I had to race a guy in H/gas during the eliminator at Atco. I drove a slant six , 4sp Valiant with some mod's and a 4 bbl and he had a 1950 Studebaker with a Pontiac OHC 6cyl, 4 sp and Olds rear. It sounded like a 6cyl Ferrari through homehead headers.
Missed third...... JimR

Bracket race at MIR around 2000 or so, a guy over there had a old alky funny car that he had put a blown small block chevy in and would run 7:20's. I ran him with my stocker, with 8 cars left and won...Ironically enough Frank Gugliotta (now running Pro Stock) gave me the left or right option (turn when leaving the gate), the next round with his Top Sportsman car and went on to win it. Now Dave Audet, who sometimes still races his 69 Camaro F/SA car was there in his toyota dialed a 19:22 against the old funny car earlier that day. That was the oddest run i've ever seen....
