I recall Dave Wren getting one of these Hemi convertibles as well. It was referred to as the "Get Ray Allen" car at the time. I think it was red,. with a white top. I may be wrong. Dave is still around. Not sure how it fared racing against Ray though.

Does anyone in the NJ area know how to get in touch with Frank Brenniser? He had purchased my '69 Camaro SS/EA, and later my SS/GTA Monte Carlo. He owned and ran a junk yard at the time. Any help would be appreciated.

Dave:
Didn't he rename the Monte to the:The Dismantler"??

Was that the same car that became: Smooth Operator (Gricco)?
Speaking of S/S Monte Carlos' I spotted Hoffman's old S/S Monte (areo rear window) at a Sunoco station in Avenel. N.J. this past week end. It looked like a fine bred race horse that has been put out to pasture.

Frank may have - it makes sense with his junk yard.
Mike Gricco's Smooth Operator was a different car.
If anyone knows how to reach Frank, please let me know.

Can you locate the weight re-distribution.

Jake,

#1 Modification

On the rear back window.

It was 'double-thickness' {.500"} glass instead of the standard
1/4" thickness.

I believe the weight of the 'special glass' was #52 lbs. instead of
#26 lbs.

That paint scheme on the Fink Bros. car reminds me that it had to have come out of Tom Tiganelli's Shadowoods Auto Center in Detroit.
