Not really legal since essentially the center section is a "wet sump" design for the R&P and your proposal would be converting it to a dry sump. You might get by however with a heater like Glidden and some of the Pro Stocks used to run. Plug it in between runs and it heats and thins the oil. But with today's ultra light weight lubricants, I'm not sure you'd see a real gain. I have run 30wt in the rear and tranny on a run or two when I needed "everything I could get at any cost". Of course it all came apart after the race for inspection.

Thank you Mr. Wilcox.
I've was considering using a transmission with electric pump eliminating the mechanical one and incorporating it to the rear end.. It's leagal for any internal modifications to the trans but, maybe hard to fit a pump inside of the case...is outside the case still legal? Quote:

Most racers, in any motorsport venue, if they have an idea that is "grey area" material, would run it and deal with it if & when it ever (if ever) becomes an issue. I think it's great your thinking out of the box and letting NHRA know what direction to start looking on your car.

LOL, Jeff . I don't know if you mean well or that was a stab at go ahead and get caught first. Thanks for the response. I'm always thinking outside the box...I have many things up the sleeve still...Can't wait to start working with a few people on these projects....Not the one mentioned here, others...
