I just removed a customers engine 350 SBc 255hp from the dyno. We broke it in on Joe Gibbs BR oil. After 10 pulls (he had a few problems especially with the Quadrajet) he changed the oil to Schaeffer oil(rep lives near here) and we saw a couple problems with aeration. Customers engine so I did not get to play. He was a little upset but dont know what he will do, but he picked engine up this morning. Just another input

It appears that the “Mobil 1” part of the discussion in this thread (its veered off course a few times) has been centered around Mobil 1 “Street” oil. Does anyone have any experience with Mobil 1’s “Racing” oil?
I currently use Mobil 1 Extended Performance 10W-30, in a sbf. Apart to freshen a few times, but I keep throwin’ the bearings back in it. Like out of the box, not a mark on ‘em – 275 passes. |
