Default Re: Timing retard

MSD offers a retard box that plugs/wires in with the 7AL-2, I had one on my car, I had a switch hooked up on the shifter that when it was in low it advanced the timing and as soon as I went to second it went back to normal timing. It is simple and does work, you can wire it to retard in low also. I like Tom's idea a little better you can bring it in sooner and control the rate. But, what I had worked with my Ing that I already have. Hope this helps.
