I have been using the Smith Brite for about 12 years and love it. They offer two different compounds.

Yes the JAX metal polish we use is a purple color. I haven't bought it in a while but I don't remember it being that expensive. We have Welds on our car and do use the JAX metal polish on them and it works great. It also works well on chrome bumpers.

sstock 1373, the best polish i ever used on racing wheels is simichrome polish. its in a tube and it takes some time to do but u will love the results.
