New NW racetrack progressing nicely
Check out the progress of the new multi-use facility under construction in western Washington. Got to Youtube and type in: The Ridge Motorsports Park.
There are several "land clearing" videos and a couple of flyover videos (sneak peek one and sneak peek two) that show the upper and lower levels of the property. The road course will occupy the upper portion and the dragstrip will be down below along the road to the facility. This should be a very nice complex when completed and very welcomed indeed. I was out there saturday. It has really changed in the last month. 35 miles from home for me. Looking forward to it.

Must be a photoshop job...blue skies in May? Come on, who you guys trying to kid?
Seriously, won't this pull a lot of racers from Bremerton or are they primarily targeting the BMW, Porsche, etc driving clubs and SCCA type racers?

Re: New NW racetrack progressing nicely
I'm sure it will effect Bremerton some. I was talking to Gordon at the planners meeting for the new track a month ago and I got the impression he would like to be involved in the operations of the new track or possibly the new track that is in the planning stages on leased property near the Bremerton raceway. He's at the mercy of the FAA now and that can't be much fun. It looks like this will be the last year for Forks because of the FAA unless we can change one ladies mind. She has the final and the track went over her head to be able to race last year so it may not be pretty.
