The Turbo 350 trans with "clean neutral" (mine is a Rossler) and the correct shifter makes it perfectly safe to put it in neutral at the finish line. Couldn't put into reverse if you wanted to. Very common practice in SS. Can't say about Stock.

Lots of monkey see, monkey do in all venues of automotive racing! Don't mean it's right or necessary.

If deceleration is bad on the rotating assembly, imagine what ftbing by those stock and super stock racers that are holding a tenth or more, driving the stripe and turning on the win light more often than not is doing to their engine!

Lets see what happens with your bracket car with a 6.00 rear gear in it.

why would I put a 6.00 gear behind my bb/turbo400 combo?

That said, we've got that gear behind a 305 stocker and count it amongst those that ain't clicking it off at the stripe!

FYI, my bracket car is a Super Stock car built by arguably the best and it don't know that it don't have a super stock engine but it runs close to the average SS/AH car for a lot less $ and it makes alot more passes every season.

Your car is nice and so was your Chevelle, but why do you shoot yourself in the foot with your mouth.I see your posts on bullet and they have all but disowned you over their so you come over here and make more enemies in 10 minutes than a politician. If you show some respect you might get a warm welcome even if your not a class racer.Just saying

Kevin
