There is more to getting that power level than a peak number.
I can show you the flow numbers from 2 different heads and one has a higher peak number, but the head with the lower peak number makes a lot more power. I have the dyno results, too. One head combination kicks the others butt by having a much higher average from .100 to peak. There are some programs that will give you numbers that are available on the net. The key to that statement is: "will give you numbers". I like the idea of asking the question. Interesting answers.

So you should be able make good power if you have over 260 cfm with a good bottom end.

It always seems to tickle me when anyone asks for a average number for head flow or, what should an average 255hp 350 S/S engine make on the dyno. You would think people have asked for nude photos of your mom , or pics of little henry lol. For sure if I had found an additional 20hp I sure as hell would not tell that I have found it or what I changed to get it! As Adger said flow numbers don't tell the while story, or does a wicked peak hp number make a car quick when when the engine is a turd in the midrange. It would be nice to get some average numbers to know if you are in the ball park. Don Jackson
