I agree with Lee, Henry (Henry's Toy) Kuntz. That car is scary, Gary Parker fast.... and I believe he still runs a power glide.

True, but I think that green Nova is a sleeper and the guy who drives it can give anybody a run for their money. I think that car on right up there with the best... Just my .02

Opinions aside, here are the quickest 350-255's in their respective classes according to Nitro Joes's 2010 year end stats:
F/SA Painter Stephenson 10.898 -.952 G/SA Austin Williams 10.954 -1.046 H/SA Henry Kunz 11.138 -1.012 I/SA Charlie Sousa 11.446 -.854 J/SA George LaBelle 11.989 -.461 So it looks like Austin Williams made the quickest pass last year. What makes his run impressive is he did it in the class final against Jim Marshall who went 10.892 on a red light and we all know how bad Jims' Corvette is. I don't believe any other 255 could run within .062 of Jim in the opposite lane. Now the race I would like to see is Jim VS Johnny Gray. That would be worth the price of admission. Mr. Gray's performance was impressive at the US Nationals last year. |
