I remember Van Wert. My dad used to race there in the 60's and 70's also. I got to make 1 pass there in a factory V8 Chevy Monza in the mid 80's, smoked the rear tire most of the way down.

For me it is Fremont and Half Moon Bay, where I raced in the late 60's and early 70's.

YES to Westhampton ! Was a fun place to race in 70s . N.Y. Nat was geared more to making money with paid in shows , while Hamptons was a racer's strip . Gov't surplus tower , sand pits area and the "dip" at the top end . Those were the days ! Also remember the rubbish heap 1/8mile behind oval G-stands at Islip . Though did see Big Daddy run 149mph there in '65 , MASSIVE GONADS !

Wish York US 30 was still open, would really be cool to run there with all the history that happened there.

Akron Ohio Municipal Airport Dragstrip.
Watched Art Arfrons and the Green Monster
Make alot of passes there.
The backdrop was Derby Downs.
