Allow me to share how this policy was explained to me.......NHRA, rather than implementing a diaper rule on all the classes they just reinstated the Oildown Policy. In which most racers would then install a diaper rather than hand NHRA money via a imposed fine.

Then it has changed from years past because my buddy paid for a water leak between the water box and the starting line that was mopped up before I ran right behind him after they shut him off. Fixing it was easy just tighten up a Aeroquip fitting. I saw it happen right in front of me at Las Vegas. Rick Cates |
