Hey Art,
What do the road course guy's use on there car's? Did the neon ACR or SRT come with anything better than stock? If nothing else they may have a better pad material available.

a friend of mine makes specialty brakes for these kind of applications. Tell him I sent you!

Brian Hasty @ Fastbrakes

If you don't see what you want, just ask for it.

Thanks. I'll give them a call. One problem is the SRT 4 stuff is pretty good but you have to run at least a 15" wheel. Right now I run 14" wheels and due to them not making 14" tires anymore I'll need to use 13" wheels

Holeshot Wheels can probably make 15" wheels for your car, but then there is the matter of finding a short enough tire.

Art, what 14" slick are you looking for? Shorter than these even?

Thanks Myron. The 15" wheels are all over the place. But the shortest tire for them is 22"

The SRT4 brakes are to big. I run the ACR stuff. But all Neons came with power brakes.
And I took off the power booster, but kept the stock mastercylinder. It stops fine at the end of the track but doesn't like to stop at slow speeds or hold the car against the converter.
I have new rotors and the organic pads.

art if your still using the master from the power brake set-up , i'm guessing the pedal is rock hard. it has to large a bore for manual brakes. when running manual brakes you need to go to a smaller bore, and modify the pedal ratio.
i would get a brake pressure guage, and see how much you get at the calipers. usually 900 to a 1000 max should do. i'll bet now your in about the 400 range? if you want send me a pm with some info on the calipers ,master cyl.bore size ,and current pedal ratio, and i'll try to get you sorted out.
