I'm sorry to hear that you couldn't stay away--that means what I've always suspected is true--class racing is like Malaria or Herpes, never goes away. At least you're working on a combination that won't get stomped by the DPs and CJs. Welcome back and good luck!

Thanks guys,I like the odd ball stuff. The 3.8 being such a stout V6 from the factory. GM did their work on the motors. FI is going to be the new learning cuve for me.Carb guy all my life.Yea ,JE is only the replacement piston 700.0) a set. I have though about the T200,but the 460lE has such a low 1st gear 3:08 I believe.I am hopeing to keep the rotating mass down and I want to stay with the 10 bolt and a 4:56 is the biggest I can get into that housing.(Before I go to a 12 Bolt) I have access to all the equipment to to do my motor ,and have a guy who can trick the 460LE.And I have access to a shop that can fab me just about anything. Thanks again, and I'l keep progress posted.

Like Alan said, you want a 200, not a 4L60E. Not a matter of it living.

I am not an expert but I would think with a six cylinder you will need way more gear than that. |

I agree. Better just get a 12 bolt at least.

That is also what I figure both the 200 and a 12 bolt. I have pretty much figured the 4:56 was not low enough. My 1st question is trying to figure what my trap rpm might be.Min. # in O/SA will be 3215 and the factory rpm is 6000. I've done some of the HP math and it looks like I need about 285HP to run .7 under. O/SA index is 13.15( I also weigh 260#) so it seams a diet is in the future. So right now I am getting the chassis undecarriage done ,and the engine comp. cleaned and painted. Thanks for any input.
